About Hong Islands
Koh Hong (“room island”) is named for its sheltered inner lagoon — a near-enclosed pool of shallow, glass-clear water you enter through a narrow gap in the cliffs. It sits inside a protected marine park north-east of Ao Nang, so the reefs and beaches are noticeably cleaner and quieter than the busier day-tour stops.
Because it is so close to Ao Nang, the Hong Islands are the single best half-day or full-day island trip from Green Paradise Resort. Go early and you can swim in the lagoon, snorkel the fringing reef and climb to the Hong viewpoint before the speedboat crowds arrive around midday.
